Why does my mp3 make crackling sounds when singers sing words with S's or T's, or when a cymbal is hit……..?

Its not my headphones, Ive tried them and several other ones they all crack on this mp3 but on my computer's speakers headphone jack, i turn up volume loud and listen to music from comp using headphones and no crackling at all…. headphones are 100% good, but the mp3 makes cracking when singer sings words with S's or T's or when a cymbal on drums are hit, its not the format of the song (.mp3, .wav, .whatever), its not that, what else could be causing the prob? i've turned down treble, still crackling, and i listen to it on the lowest level of volume i can… STILL CRACKLING… =[ help..
